Program Coordinator: Jemilatu Abdulai
Jemilatu Abdulai: "Jemila Abdulai is AWOMI's Program Coordinator and oversees AWOMI's programs and day-to day activitiesAfter participating in and
successfully completing AWOMI’s second edition of the Young Women’s
Knowledge and Leadership Institute (YOWLI) in 2008, Jemila Abdulai secured her Bachelor of Arts degree in both Economic and French from Mount Holyoke College, USA, in May 2009. During her college career she focused on economic development, gender and international trade, particularly as it concerns Africa and the Global South. She also wrote numerous articles on international issues for the college newspaper and led the Mount Holyoke African and Caribbean Students Association (MHACASA) in organizing programs and fundraising for donation to an African or Caribbean charity annually. As an international development correspondent with the Development Executive Group (Devex) in Washington, D.C., she wrote and published over 30 news, career and business advice articles on humanitarian relief, gender issues, and current events in the development sphere. Additionally, she has interacted with and interviewed numerous high-level development professionals including Harriet Fulbright, UNIFEM Chief Ines Alberdi, Millennium Challenge Corporation Head Daniel Yohannes, and Norwegian Minister for Children, Gender and Equality Audun Lysbakken. She also attended and covered key events and panels organized by the World Bank, international NGOs, and the U.N. including the 54th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York, USA

Financial and Administrative Manager:Sophie Sarr
Sophie Sarr is the Financial and Administrative Manager.She is in charge of the administrative and financial tasks.
She manages AWOMI’s funds and does budget proposals.She supervises the YOWLI 2010 with the regional coordinator.

Financial Assistant and Women's Empowerment Fund Intern: Sokhna Thiaw
Sokhna Thiaw is a financial assistant and Women's Empowerment Fund intern.She joined AWOMI in December 2009.She coordinates the WEFU ( Women EmpowermentFund) which is one of AWOMI's biggest programs.She mainly focuses on the third phase of this program in which she works with municipalities in Senegal, Mauritania,Ghana, Namibia , Rwanda ,Mali and Democratic Republic of Congo. She is also the financial assistant ,and she does the YOWLI Anglophone follow ups.

Intern/Program and Administrative Assistant (PA): Amina Diallo
Amina Diallo works at AWOMI as the Program and Administrative Assistant.She does the following tasks:
• Supports the networking and constituency building of YOWLI members in Senegal and other selected African countries
• Participates in identifying and documenting lessons learned based YOWLI’s activities
• Develops partnerships with youth groups in particular to support their capacity to improve information collection, documentation, and reporting;
• Maintains database and network of contact for the promotion of YOWLI and help to mobilize young people around the YOWLI movement
• Assists AWOMI in the planning and organization of the YOWLI 2010
• Supports AWOMI’s administrative work
• Carries out any other task identified by the Program Coordinator, the Financial and Administrative Manager or the President
